LOGAN MCELVEEN- Owner/Artistic Director

Logan McElveen is an accomplished dance professional with over 12 years of experience as a performer, educator, and award-winning choreographer. She is widely recognized for her dedication to technical excellence, artistic innovation, and mentorship in the Georgia dance community.

Logan began her dance journey at the age of 3 and trained extensively in Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap and Ballet. As a competitive dancer, she earned top regional and national awards and was often featured in elite performances. Her early exposure to diverse movement styles laid the foundation for her choreographic voice, known for its emotion-driven storytelling and technical precision.

Transitioning into teaching while still in high school, Logan quickly discovered a passion for developing young dancers. She has spent the past several years as a full-time instructor and choreographer at Studio South Dance Academy where she formally has served as Company Director and Apprentice Program Director. Under her direction, the studio’s competition teams have flourished, earning numerous regional and national choreography awards for her original work.

Her mentorship has led to remarkable student achievements:

Multiple dancers have received prestigious scholarships to nationally recognized summer intensives and collegiate programs.

Several have secured pre-professional apprenticeships and training opportunities with top dance companies.

Her students consistently place in the highest tiers of competitive circuits, praised for their technique, stage presence, and versatility. In 2025, Logan expanded her leadership by acquiring Savannah Dance Company. As Owner and Artistic Director, she is building a creative space that fuses technical rigor with artistic exploration, aiming to elevate the regional dance landscape and offer new opportunities for dancers of all ages.

Logan continues to offer master classes and choreography across Georgia and the Southeast, sharing her experience with studios and programs seeking to push artistic boundaries. Her work is defined by her belief that dance is not only a discipline but also a vehicle for empowerment and personal growth.

MADISON LANIER- Instructor/Co-Company Director

Madison is a recent graduate of Richmond Hill High School where she represented her class as student council president all four years. She was a dual enrollment graduate and work study student of the year.

She began her dance training in Bryan County, focusing on tap, hip hop, Ballet, and jazz. Dance quickly became a passion and she joined competitive teams to help develop her technique and performance qualities. She later moved to SDC to further her training, earning “Dancer of the Year” in 2022. While training as a senior company member, madison assisted in numerous dance classes and worked as an administrative assistant for Mallory. She has always had a passion for working with children and has combined that with her love of dance to curate a safe & encouraging classroom.

Madison has played a vital role in SDC’s competitive company success as an exceptional choreographer. her creativity and musicality stands out and challenges her dancers to connect to their choreography in unique ways.

Mya Calabretta has been dancing for 14 years and has experience in both competitive and recreational dance. Throughout her training, she has developed a strong passion for performance, storytelling, and choreography. In addition to dance, Mya has participated in theatre for most of her life and has choreographed multiple school musicals, combining her love of movement and acting on stage.

Mya is currently a sophomore at Savannah College of Art and Design majoring in Acting, where she continues to expand her performance and artistic skills. Her favorite styles of dance include tap, musical theatre, and jazz. Mya loves helping dancers build confidence, technique, and creativity in every class and can’t wait to see what this season has in store!

MIEKA PRICE - Instructor

MIEKA PRICE - Instructor

Mieka Price is a committed choreographer, performer, and dance educator. She is dedicated to creating transformative learning and artistic experiences through movement. With a strong foundation in both performance and choreography, Mieka blends contemporary, modern, and Jazz practices to craft work that is both intellectually rich and emotionally resonant.

Mieka holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Texas at El Paso, and is currently entering her last year of her MFA in Choreography at Reinhardt University. As both an artist and educator, Mieka has choreographed original concert works, directed youth dance programs, and coached competitive and performance ensembles in community, collegiate, and professional settings.

Mieka is committed to cultivating inclusive learning environments that promote artistic excellence, creative exploration, and individual growth. Through her choreography and teaching, she seeks to empower dancers to develop authentic artistic voices while engaging deeply with movement as a means of communication, reflection, and transformation.

KATIE SICKELS - Instructor

KATIE SICKELS - Instructor

Katie Sickels is native to Des Moines, Iowa, where she was classically trained in dance. She spent summers with the Kansas City Ballet and in Jackson, Mississippi as well as spending time in Chicago, New York and Iowa City training to perfect her technique. Her experience ranges from ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, contemporary, tap, lyrical and ballroom styles of dance but her heart will always be with ballet.

She had the opportunity to perform leading rolls in ballets such as The Nutcracker, The Little Mermaid, Pas De Quatre, Sleeping Beauty and many smaller works.

As a teacher and choreographer, Katie is passionate about uplifting the next generation of dancers to be inspired by ballet and to take it with them wherever they go in life. She believes in creating a whole dancer and artist, not just a movement machine. With a decade of experience teaching all kinds of dance as well as a history in education and childcare, she works to understand the entire person and to cultivate an environment of joy for the work.

Shelbi Callahan is the heart of the Lobby at Savannah Dance Company. With a warm smile and a passion for organization, she keeps daily operations running smoothly while supporting both staff and families with care and professionalism.

Shelbi brings dedication, efficiency, and a love for the arts to her role, ensuring every dancer and parent feels welcomed and informed. Her commitment to excellence makes her an essential part of the SDC family.

Shelbi is also a resident dance mom to our company member Lynlee.

KELSEY DAVIS - Instructor/Springfield Office Administrator

KELSEY DAVIS - Instructor/Springfield Office Administrator

Kelsey Davis is entering her 11th year in education and has worked in a variety of private, clinical, and educational settings, including special education and behavioral health. She earned her undergraduate degree in Educational Studies (K–12) and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Elementary Education.

Her love for dance began at Ms. Helen’s School of Dance right here in Springfield, Georgia, where she trained from ages 3 to 12 before transitioning into competitive cheerleading. Kelsey is passionate about helping children grow in confidence, creativity, and self-expression through movement.

A longtime resident of Effingham County, Kelsey and her husband, Cody, are proud to be raising their two children in the community they call home. When she is not in the classroom or studio, she enjoys gardening, swimming, and visiting the beach.
